Living in East Aurora
East Aurora is the village people fall in love with. A real Main Street, historic homes, and the feel of a small town about 25 minutes from downtown Buffalo.
What makes it different
Main Street has local shops, restaurants and Vidler's 5 & 10. The Roycroft Campus is a national historic landmark from the Arts and Crafts movement, Fisher-Price is headquartered here, and Knox Farm State Park is just outside the village.
About the houses
The village has a lot of older homes with character, from Victorians to Arts and Crafts houses. Around it, the Town of Aurora has larger lots and more rural properties. Good village homes don't last long.
What we check
- Older systems in historic homes: foundations, wiring, plumbing and heating.
- Well and septic on rural properties outside the village.
- Village taxes and the East Aurora school district for the address.
